Cartoning machine
We design our cartoning machines (also known as cartoners) to automatically erect cartons, insert products, and close the flaps by either tucking them in or sealing them with adhesive, depending on the carton’s design.
Our cartoning machines can efficiently package products such as toothpaste, creams, soap, tablet strips, bearings, and more.
A cartoning machine is a specialized packaging machine that forms cartons by erecting, folding, closing, side-seaming, and sealing them. It processes a flat carton board blank into a fully formed carton, fills it with a single product or multiple products, and then securely seals it using adhesive or locking tabs.
Cartoning machines are classified into two main types:
- Horizontal cartoning machines
- Vertical cartoning machines
A cartoning machine picks a single piece from a stack of folded cartons, erects it, fills it with a product or multiple products horizontally through an open end, and then seals it by tucking in the flaps or applying glue/adhesive. The product can be pushed into the carton using a mechanical pusher, pressurized air, or manually in some applications. This type of cartoning machine is widely used for packaging foodstuffs, confectionery, medicines, cosmetics, and other consumer goods.
A vertical cartoning machine, also known as an end-load cartoner, erects a folded carton, fills it with a product or multiple products from the top through an open end, and then seals it by tucking the flaps or applying glue/adhesive. These machines are commonly used for packaging bottled foodstuffs, confectionery, medicine, and cosmetics, with variations suited for different business scales.
The Bombay Engineering cartoning machine picks a single carton from a stack, erects it, fills it horizontally with a product or multiple products, and then seals it by tucking in the flaps or using glue/adhesive. The product insertion can be done via a mechanical or pneumatic pusher, or manually when required. These machines are widely used in food, confectionery, medicine, and cosmetics industries.
